However, with the current state of SERP results, all these efforts might still leave you ranking around the 5th or 8th position on the first page, which won't generate the leads we need. The top positions, usually the 1st or 2nd, capture the majority of leads. I believe that investing in high-quality backlinks can make a significant difference.

Nathan, 2 questions.... would you be ok with sharing a copy of the document you created for the recommendations? Second, you mentioned that it is a red flag if a website's backlink profile has numerous anchor texts that are the same. What should the ideal backlink profile look like in terms of anchor text distribution? I have a client whose competitor ranks #1 for numerous keywords that the client is targetting and when I looked at the backlinks of the competitor, they have numerous anchor texts that are the same. do you think they are affected by it?

In the case of Local SEO, I have noticed that most sites need a handful of powerful directory listings and a few guest posts. I have built over 40-50 directory links and guest posts similar to my competitor, but it has been months, and they haven't been indexed yet. Is there a way to fast-track this process? For the first part of the video, what if my target clients are not from this micro-location - will it still be worth it building my portfolio site from there or should my microlocation and target client location overlap?

I use various internal/external tools and what I found out is Google has variations per country/local as well as invested (restrictions) with their partners. The Tool is just a tool and its a good guideline but please realise the term "All things being equal" is a great way to end a conversation with proposed client as in the crazy fluid fast changing SEO world the data is far from equal !!
